Had the day off .

why i had the day off..actually i’ve arranged it from the beginning of the month!! why ?? just for this Cleo Bday Bash - 10 hours Shopping Marathon.- 1Utama , PJ .

well no worries. ..i didnt actually went on a shopping spree for 10 hours! gila ka! hehehe i was only there from 10 am to 6pm. hehehe…The gals went earlier than me . not that i didnt want to go earlier….but i had a flat tyre this morning. @#%$*%$#$#@@… =p

there was a leak somewhere….bro noticed it first…he help me pump some air in enough for me to drive to a tyre repair shop. quickly went and had the tyre fix. indeed , there was a leak!! a freaking some nail!!! darn it! nways , had it fix and i literally flew to 1U . in record time!! hahaha w

well it took me less than 30 mins to reach the place!! fantastico!! kekeke plus highway is the best!! i only wished my car was bigger and more stable!! and of coz has a bigger CC and not so bouncy!! but no matter what i love my car!!!! i will buy a new car but i wont trade my baby away!! for it has served me well =p .

ok , so back to 1U. Reached the place by 10(actually b4 10 but was scouting for a nice parking spot). was a good thing the girls were already there.They were very near to the front of the line.So we got our goodies bag….run everywhere to the participating outlets…got a few coupons and some sooo callled gifts for the first 50 participants!! most of the participating outlets were out of the gifts by the time we reached there.  So we just hang around and browsing through stuffs and all….and finally ended up eating lunch at the Arena….then browse around some more.

But mind you , all throught the day , my phone hasnt stop ringing.  lovers calls ?? no ..i wish …those you dont want to listen to , THEY CALL ?!!?!?

Anyway , after lunch , Shirley and Shy went off coz Shirley has an appointment with her hubby to watch " Harry Potter " -

i havent been to the movies in ages…….sigh

the rest of us practically when in to shops…stop…browse…then out…hehehe

Got some accessories from Bonita. i love going to places like Bonita. =p

when we were at Red Earth counter (one of the participating outlets ) Ray was the make-up artist of the day!! she practically painted both mines and Chitra’s face.  we all come home with a few make-up products! hehehe…not that i know how to apply…or really use it..but nvm nvm..it was a real bargain anyway.

reached back Klang around 630 pm. Drop the things back at home , met up with a old buddy - Michelle for drinks. Called her bf to come too coz hasnt seen him in ages too. had a chat about work ( mostly me complaining la..whatelse..hehehe) . had a small discussion about religions ( im so not gonna talk about it here…sensitive issues ppl )

meet up with family for dinner - steamboat - wasnt really that hungry but had a lil anyway.

reached home around 9 . another old buddy called - Lenny - Chatted for about an hour or so.

overall …it has been an interesting day. usually when im at work , its like super busy. but even on off days i still feel and am busy..hahaha……………im seriously going to take a few days off in December. Just to chill out and relax. I wish i could go back to London for a break. sigh

p/s : like i said before , i hv used up all my qoute for the month’s photo loading therefore i cant load much. but do check out the album by next month. tons of pics plus i told KK i was gonna set a page dedicated to him for his bday a week or so ago. so check it out then ok. =p

Well…not actually my hometown..i think. Rather , my mom’s hometown.Its a place called Sungai Pelek ( nope not pelik..hehehe) . Its about around 30 to 45 minutes drive from Morib ( i think , lost track of time while in the car ). Its actually a pretty small town.The last time i actually went there was like around close to 3 years or more i think. Anyway , mom actually left the place when she was pretty young and moved here to Klang . And it is in Klang that my mom and dad met! hehe now thats a whole different story (^_^)

anyway , today was like a field trip thingy. mom have already told me that we are going for seafood today!! ( YyYyIIiiIpPPPPEeeEE ) the last time they went , i was..well absent…why ? working!! whatelse!  sigh . when mom told me about the trip , i was so looking forward to it especially since i’ve missed so many. and lucky me , i have actually arranged for today to be my off day!! hehehe

My cousin and his wife and his two children ( my darling nephew,Ken and niece Ee Lyn ) will be joining us. My cousin has generously said that this " makan trip " is on him!! two thumbs up!! hehe . So the plan was to go down to my mom’s hometown and visit the temple there . Its the temple that we visit everytime we go. As a matter of fact , thats the only place we ever go whenever we’re in Sungai Pelek. why ? well actually, my grandpa was one of the 6( i think ) ppl that bought the piece of land in which the temple now stood. My grandpa and the others donated the land so that the temple can be built. Im not too sure whether they purchased the land and then donated it when the temple was already built or they donated the land for the temple to be built. i think its the latter.

was kinda nice going back to the place. sort of missed it a lil. coz when we were there, the place or rather the temple felt so familiar. duh! coz i’ve been there.but its feels kinda nice i guess and comfy in a way. (">)

we took a few family photos =) my lovely cousin n wife and my darling parents and my dearest god mom @ aunt.

According to my dear cousin , KC , that they were the erm…earlier ? older generations and that the rest of us are the next generation , younger ? hehe. Theres my sweet niece , Ee Lyn , the lovey dovey couple - bro and wife, squashed in between me and bro is my 20 yr old but still look like 15 yr old cousin sis,Cythia and the young strapping handsome man next to me is my nephew ,  Ken - who btw loves the colour orange! ("/ )

sis couldnt make it coz busy with assignments and stuff. =( sigh

we had seafood at a restaurant in Jenjarom. i wouldnt really give two thumbs up for the food. i’ve tasted better ones. yeah yeah we had fish and prawns and crabs and stuff. while half-way trying to break the shell of my crab, Shirley called to double check on something about the new sales thingy at the office. so my crab was left to cool..haha . wasnt really a great crab anyway. the best crabs are still from " Fatty Crabs " at Tmn Megah - havent been there in agesss…

after lunch , we went to the " Fong Zhen " . erm..its not a temple…as i was told ( and all this while i thought it was ) but rather a  Buddhist Institute( ok..doing alot of guessing here…hehehe ) The place is huge and it gives such a calming feeling to one. ( so gonna tell Ray and Shirley that we should go there ) My cousin Cythia told me that the place is even more gorgeous during special occasions and festivals.But its gonna be packed with ppl then and prolly cant really enjoy it. The moment you walked in , you are greeted by a beautiful white ceramic/jade like statue of The Goddess of Mercy , Kuan Yin . Stood there on top of a platform like thingy , right at the centre. The statue was huge. Very tall. But just check the pic and tell me, isnt that  a gorgeous sight ?? and along the pathway , there are many more stone statues of gods . Like i said , the place was beautiful. truly truly beautiful. Simple and yet nice. =}

Inside,stood another huge building - hall. Inside the hall, you are greeted by a clean and clear marble titles floor.Each side of the walls are decorated with cravings of gods and goddess in their elements.But right in front, The Majestic Statue of Buddha sat.Surrrounded by more little statues. It was a sight to be hold.

Prayers are made in this room as well.As you can see the little padded wooden

blocks places on the floor in a orderly manner.For those would need to knee down for their prayers. One word to describe the hall. Enchanting. truly enchanting

i had a busy weekend. not that im complain like i usually would with work! haha

And on Saturday night , after work, went over to a friend’s place for a party. No no..this sort of party has no booze or a dance floor. hehehe, its actually my friend, Chitra’s baby niece’s 1st Birthday. " Happy Birthday to you….Happpyyyyy BbbbiIiirrrtTHday tooooo YOOOOOOOOOOOOUU. Happy Birthday to you " well its highly unlikely that Chitra or her niece can hear me here…hehehe but nvm. Birthday songs are Universal !! haha

so as usual , the usual suspects..oops i mean friends! yeah friends showed up =p

Me and Shirley and Ray and Simon showed up. The rest of the " jing-bangs" were MIA.(yes there are more of us "jing-bangs" members around..hehe scared? =p ). Since it was an indian party ,we all showed up in our punjabi suits! ( its not like i have any other besides punjabi suits..hehe,Saree ? erm not in my case =p) . Nway, all of us except for Simon of coz. Not that a punjabi suit wouldnt look good on him ( i think ?? ) . But during our lunch at Rays, we agreed that KK would make a more..attractive woman! hahaha . And whats a party without food?? and knowing me, me loves spicy food. me love love spicy food!! =p . dont my plate of yummilicous spicy food look yummmmmyyyyy!!

we hanged out there till like past midnight. doing what ? erm yakking away as usual.i was actually very tired but recently i have decided to take charge of my life a little and so live a little. Carpe Diem ppl !!    - lets hope i actually stick to the phrase this time. hahahaha

trying to load more of the photos i’ve taken from the hometown trip and from the party the night before. i think im reachin my qouta for the month. hehehe..friendster blogs only allowed up to a certain amount of photos to be loaded. sigh. if you dont see them this month , prolly the next! haha

notice how all events always have something to do with food ? from hometown trips to parties or just plain hanging out. food bring people together. hehehe…but at the end of the day , regardless whether or not the food you had were delicious or not , its the company that matters! great friends hanging out together can make lousy food taste a tad better - lets not go over-board by saying that it can make the food taste great , heck i’ll be a liar if i said that. but atleast when you hanged out with ya buds , you guys can discuss about how sucky the food is !! hahaha thats a topic!! agreed ?

i have actually written something yesterday…loaded a few photos onto the post…..and being the " Cheong Hei " person that i am….i yakked non-stop about it….just to have everything VANISHED! Vanished..gone..right before my very eyes. All these happened when i clicked SAVE!!…..all my nonsense….eh i mean my meaningful dictation of my every account in my life that are pieces of my memories and history…herstory…in the making….alll GONE!! just like that….

it was photos taken last Wednesday at a friends place , Ray. She had us  " jing-bang-friends " -as she would fondly refer to us as - over to her place for a Deepavali Lunch. Awesome lunch…like i said..i have already expressed alot yesterday…lazy to repeat la…sigh

Anyway , just got back from Bukit Tinggi. Went over a lil restaurant/cafe place called " Joy & Cheer " - sounded better in cantonese " Foon Foon Hei Hei " . a lil  " Dim Sum " concept kinda place.   A student of mine..well not really My Student coz i dont teach him….a student from my centre…currently no longer a student but technically still a student…nvm! anyway , W - the student. has been bugging me to go over to the cafe that he runs …co-owned….running for someone…erm not too sure..nvm…well he has been bugging me to go over and support him..so finally i went! hahaha….

that was because after i received this sms from Ray - and her exact words were  - " Woman!  Get ur booty out of d house " - that made me think…maybe Ray really did wanna go out! hahaha..so we went.

Met KK and Shirley there. Ray havent had her dinner..so she had her Century Egg porridge….which she said was pretty good!

i had been dying to eat some sort of ice crushed thingy filled with fresh mangoes!! i scanned the menu and found Mango Sago just to be told that they no longer serve that..therefore i had to pick Ice Blended Mango - which was pretty much blended ice with fresh Mangoes - which was what i really wanted ? = nvm…anyway, check out how sweet and thick and mango-ish it looks! hehehe, and being a klutz that i am..almost spilled that darn thing before i even tasted it! Luckily i didnt spilled all…only a tad little *_*

KK had some ginseng thingy - " Ginseng Lo Hong Ko " or " Ginseng Sea Coconut"…cant remember..but i recall seeing the ginsengs ! hehehe…anyway as you can see…KK was very very pleased with his erm…selection

when i snapped this shot , Ray and Shirley both thought that it was a really nice photo. Looks like a advertisement! hehehee…

if it were…it should say…

" Come and try this Ginseng thingy…and you can be just as Happy as i am!! - SEE IT TO BELIEVE IT! "

Ray had some sort of Honey Lemon drink which was a tad too Honey-ish and not enought Lemon-ish…but on the plus side it was served in a nice glass! hehe

Shirley had " Fu Chuk Pat Kor "-  i think…  in english is called - " Beancurd with Gingko " - i think…this coming from a teacher….sigh.

and we ordered some ‘ Dim Sum ‘ s as well….some suggested by W. well the ones we tried were pretty good. I wouldnt mind going there again. (*_^) 

after that , Shirley and Ray wanted something sour..which they dont have at the cafe…so we decided t go over to one of the many cafes in Bukit Tinggi - that are called - Kopitiam! hehe..we went to the  Old Town - Kopitiam . But it was jam packed! Then we went to the back to Pak Li ‘ Kopitiam- nice ambiance - we had drinks. Ray wanted Roti Bakar! hahaha..so did i….so we were going to share..but unfortunately…- Finish o la di - they only had Bun Bakar - a bun-ish - burger-ish sort of bread…replacing our usually slices of bread. But we didnt want that. So we all ended up with only drinks at a Kopitiam.

Ray with her Teh-O-Limau panas and Shirley with her Air Limau. hehehe…i had Teh-O-Ais-Limau..and i dont know what KK had…but Ray wanted him to drink it from the saucer….weird friends i have….sigh

The place was kinda nice…very old fashion-ish when we first walked in. But as we continue sitting there…i notice the so called pics painted on the wall…one side was painted to resemble those old wooden kinda shop..which kinda creep me and Shirley out..hehehe…

i havent been out hopping from cafes to cafes in awhile….kinda miss it alot. Had a nice time tonight…just wished i could do it more often….

oh…didnt tell ya..i should have something interesting to blog about after Monday night. Why ????
