Shirley’s Big Day @ Birthday

Happy Birthday Shirley!!!

May your life be filled with loads and loads of great people , great food and great things.

As i was saying - We went to Sushi King in BBT.

Shirley arrived on time with another of our friend. I was running late coz i had some errands to run and then went to picked up Julie. We reached around 7 something , by then they were already digging into the array of sushi passing on the convenyor belt. Ran into an old colleague right before i went into the loo. hehehe…we were standin there and yakkin and ppl passing by wondering -" are we ok ? of all places..why near the toilet ? hahaha "

Well i am no sushi fanatic but i guess the food was ok.

Later on , we sang a very soft Birthday song for the Birthday Gal - coz at first she didnt want us to sing but then we sang and we did it very softly too..hahaha

We got her a Mini Cappuccino Cake for Bees. It was yummilicous.Then before we dig into the cake , PHOTO TIME!!! hahaha yeah..i know…this was why i got a Digi Cam….hehehe

By then there were only 3 but we sure did make alot of noise. Got some pics taken. Had one of the waitress to snap a group photo for us - waitress dunno how to handle a camera…sigh .

And seeing that we were at a Japanese aka Sushi Restaurant - we used our chopsticks to eat our cake ^_^

Neways , it was a fun evening. Birthday Gal likes to pose in a CU TE kinda way…as evidently shown on the photos. heheheee

So judging from the topic - ya gonna think that Debbie has gone cracko ?? hahaha…suicidal ?????

Gosh…no..hehehe i maybe a lil cranky at times…a lil nutty….and yes slightly ditzy…but heck not that cracko.

Neways , went to catch a show today….havent been to the movies in ages. the last show i watch was " The Chronicles of Narnia" - how long ago was that?? go figure…

So was considering either watch " CARS "( YEAH YEAH ) or " R.V " ( Yuppers ) - but by the time we got there…erm we decided on " STAY ALIVE " - a lil hesitation from me coz you guys know me…and so you would know that i am not horror flick fan. i think the movie "Constantine" was scary…although Keanu made it all seem alright….hmmm and even the anime  " Spirited Away " - i find it a tad disturbing . DONT watch Korean or Japanese Horror Flick - except for  " KAKASHI " - which was like a couple of years back. I watched in with my friend Lenny in IOI Mall , Puchong.The show wasnt scary and can tell it was fake but get this . the cinema we went to was a HUGE room and it was EMPTY - except for a young couple sitting by the side and i am pretty sure they werent there for the movie *wink* *wink * -Anyway the show or rather the cinema scared the hell out of me -neways that was a whole different story  so back to  " STAY ALIVE " .

Must admit , i was scared of watchin the movie. i know i know i should grow up but eh…to me it was scary. The story was about how this bunch of kids played this game called " STAY ALIVE " (note to self : stay away from any com or ps )- and one by one they die - the exact same way the die in the game - horror. terror. It was all because of this lady that died AGES AGO - Countess Elizabeth Bathory . - ok ok..dont wanna give away the story coz some of ya might wanna go watch it and you guys prolly dont think it was as scary.

Although some gruesome scenes were censored ( DUH! ) - i still closed my eyes. hahahaha…At one point i just needed to go to the loo. hehehe

Halfway thru the show - i was trying to guess the ending. Coz usually any horror show would have a logical explanation to it - i was guessing A or B. But to be honest , the ending was a lil disappointing.

The only plus point would be , i get to watch Shopia Bush ( OneTreeHill ) as a goth chick ~ October - Samairie Armstrong ( The OC ) as Abigial and Frankie Muniz ( Malcolm in the Middle ) as Swink - his typical stereotype character.

So now im kinda intrigued with the character - Countess Elizabeth Bathory - found a couple of website about her.Seriously not exactly the kindest Countess .Check it out Elizabeth Bathory - The Blood Countess

My bestest friend in the whole wide world is leaving ….

She has her bags packed and leaving Good Ol’ Malaysia.Migrating.

Yes..yes..where to ? To the country Down Under - The Land of Kangaroos & Koalas - Australia. 4..maybe 5 hours away .

And with her , she is bringing her baby girl - my darling Charlotte .

Will miss them loads. Both…Christine & Charlotte.

But thank you for always being my friend and always being there.I know when you read this you’re prolly already in Melbourne - I am sorry that im not gonna/didnt send you off on Monday. I am an emotional wreck these days and i dont think i would be able to control my tears. I do not want to be there bawling my eyes out with your dad.hehehe Gosh,if you recall, i even cried when you first told me that you’re migrating. Even as i am typing these,im close to tears.

Your not just a friend i met 8 years ago but you’re also practically a sister to me. heck..you are my sister.

You know that i wasnt too keen with this idea but i know that this is for the best. Always remember that. Going Down Under - starting a brand new life (eh..without me somemore..sigh) - making brand new friends ( i do expect you to intro to me some nice kweilos..ok ) . I do expect you to return all my mails and msg-es and calls! I do expect to be updated on Charlotte’s progress. i am soo gonna miss that girl.

Been waiting for ages to attend this event.

Amway’s 30th Birthday.

I know you guys are prolly thinking…" Oh No….Debbie’s into those direct sales thingy too…arrghhh - Note ; Avoid any event or gatherin with Debbie " -

Before you guys panicked , rest assured that i have no intention of approaching any of you to be my downline. I am not an active member so to speak. I am a member solely for my own benefit. I use some of their products and i consume some health supplement …thats about it.

Anyway , under any normal circumstances , you would not caught me attending any sort of seminar such as these. Why ?

First - loads of people there. crowded.cramped.

Second - dont really fancy going to crowded places

But this was different , i was inform Wang Lee Hom will be performing!!!!!!

yeah yeah..i know…seldom listen to Debbie expressing any interest at all in chinese song - why the sudden interest in a Chinese Artist ?

Well - actually i do enjoy listening to chinese songs its just that i prefer English to chinese.

Second - i do buy chinese cd but most of the time i am not sure what i am looking at or for . Ok ok..i admit i no no chinese lor…sigh

Third - Chinese songs are very difficult to sing-a-long to….sigh…

ok ok…so the event wasnt that bad. except for the weather. it was pouring in the afternoon when we first arrived. mind you, we have great seats , right out on the field infront of the stage but due to the rain , the heat was horrible! Before the main event started - we were soaked. Oh yeah , i went with Julie & Ai Leng. And there were many more of our friends and people we know there as well.

Neways , there were indeed a HUGE crowd. A few local acts were performing.

You have Jaclyn Victor and Daniel - The Malaysia Idols . An indonesia diva - Ruth ( something…cant recall ) . The performances started at like 4 30pm. And way into the night.

The show was pretty good. The opening ceremony was done with a girl attached to a giant Amway Balloon and was dancing in the air. The fireworks was great!We all did the Wave. Giant balloons passed among the crowds sitting in the normal seating .

Cut long event short - Wang Lee Hom finally performed. Around close to 12 am. I know i know. HE was the reason i went. HE was the ONLY reason i went. And i have made it very clear from the beginning

By the time he performed , Julie , Ai Leng & I had already moved from our seat and was hanging around next to the stage. It was loud. It was hot. It was crowded.People shouting.People jumping.Me shouting and jumping. People singing along. Me ? Sing ??hahaha besides his first opening act which was an english song by Elton John - and the chorus to his " Forever Love " cant sing any other songs even if my life depended on it. hahahaha

But i tell ya , it was worth it. I couldnt get any   shots of him due to the lights and it was already dark. Managed to only capture a few shots from the big screen.

But im telling ya…it was worth it. Loads happened. Like we bought beef burgers instead of chicken and that a bottle of 500ml mineral water cost RM2.

Was already close to 2 am when i reach home. Sweaty. Tired.Throat was aching.Leg was sore.Hungry.Sleepy.Dizzy.Sigh.

Jumped in the shower.Washed my hair. Gosh that felt soooo good. Didnt hit the sack until it was around 4 am. sigh

It was indeed an experience.

Note to self - should try attending more concerts. If possible - look for indoor stadium concerts. hehehe

Its been a busy busy month….. first my phone line got fried….yes you read right….fried…..burnt….kapooop….sigh.

Can only get online using the PC in the upstairs hall…but all my stuffs are in THIS PC….sigh…dilemma..dilemma..

let me see…. been busy with  students examinations…oral exams….

had to travel to Teluk Intan for an Oral Exam….no no..i wasnt sitting for it..haha i was the Examiner ^_^

Call me a Country Pumpkin ..erm in this case..City Pumpkin ??

I have never been to Teluk Intan. More less drive there!

But i did drove there. Julie accompanied me.

Both girls…Both has never been to Teluk Intan…Both has never driven that far on our own…

It took us around close to 2 hours before we reach Bidor - where we stopped..had their famous " WanTan Mee " and bought loads of goodies like the " Chicken Biscuits - better known as " Kai Chai Pen "  heard of it ? its yummilicous.

It was another hour or so before we reach Teluk Intan. We did finally found where we were suppose to be.

Teluk Intan is indeed a small town. I mean , perhaps coz there werent anyone around to really bring us sight seeing. We did , however found the " Leaning Tower " of Malaysia. The Famous Croocked Clock Tower right in the centre of town. Malaysia’s very one Pisa. But it was already closed so we couldnt go in.

You’re gonna laugh when i tell you this. We ended up eating at Pizza Hut that night. ahahaha

I was done with the Oral Exam by 2 something the next day. Hurry back to our Hotel…jumped in the shower…and headed home.

We reached home around 7 something.

and yes,we stopped at Bidor for "WanTan Mee" again. =)

Was indeed a fun journey i suppose. Time flies coz both Julie and I talked NON-STOP….even into the wee hours of the night…hahahaha

was definately a fun trip.

Besides the food stops we had in Bidor…we will always remember the Water Buffalos…hahahaha its another story altogether. If you wanna know , you’ll have to ask me ^_^

I would like to introduce to you all my new pets.

Not a dog…or a cat ( pllllleeaaazzee )..definately not a bird ( eh ? )

Got myself some lobsters. well two to be exact.

Its Pet Lobsters. Not the eating kind. Not that i have ever had lobsters before…..and seeing now i have 2 as pets , dont think i will be consumin lobsters any time soon.

Neways , i got myself 2 Blue Lobsters. Meet Ah Fat @ Prada and Fendi. Why these names?? i hv no idea. Not really a fan of Pradas but i though the names sounded nice. I have designer labels Lobsters! hehehe how cool is that ?And as you can see from the pic, they aren’t very blue. Have them in bro’s aquarium. He already has a lobster.Can ya see it behind ? its much much bigger…like 4 times bigger. Spent the whole morning just watching my lobsters
in my bro’s aquarium.Watching the other fishes swimming around. hmm……

After lunch today @ tea break ? went by to a Pet Store. And i saw these adorable puppiessss!!!!

i just wanna take them home with me. There is Cockeler Spaniel ( i think thats how ya spell it…)…who wasnt really interested at all.

There were Shih-Tzus….cuties cuties. Kinda remind me of my neighbours puppies.One was in a cage all by itself..while two were in together all cuddle up..sweet.

Then who can ever resist a Chow-Chow ??? These two…a girl ( the smaller one - sittin up ) and a boy ( the chubbier one - sleeping @ resting )

i wanna take them home…..anyone of them.

They both look alike right ? but the male chow-chow was very proud.couldnt be bothered with me….^_^

Then of course a Jack-Russell . who btw was a very active pup. He was the only one that was kinda excited to see me. The others were like…. " Hmm…only another human…..siiiggh " kinda expression on them. I have always like them coz i enjoy watching " WishBone " - remember ? . I especially like them with a patch on the eye. That way i can call them Patches.i know it sounds cheesy but i have always like that name. Before my family and i named our dog Lucky - i wanted to name him Duke or Prince or Warrior . But at the end we decided on Lucky which by the way is a GREAT name. He is indeed our Lucky Dog.

i am a dog-lover. i love dogs. i love my Lucky. (hugs & kisses )

I intent to have atleast 3 dogs when i have my own house one day.

A Great Dane or a Saint Bernard

A Golden Retriever or a German Shepard or a Labrador

A chihuahua or a Jack Russell Terrier or a Daschund or a Shih-Tzu.

yes yes i am sure you’ve notice….Large…Medium…Small..hahaha must have all sizes ma…only balance. hehehe

how am i ever gonna cope with 3 dogs ?  hehehe

I’ve been thinking of changing my mobile lately…

eeekk…actually im constantly thinking of changing my mobile phone…if you live with me..hahaha you’ll know what i’m talking about.

Jie : I know i know but i cant help it. I love Mobile Phones!!!

Well…im usually attracted to the latest mobile ad…be it on the telly or mags…sigh…its a weakness i tell ya.Ok so here’s a brief time line of my mobile phone histories

1997 - Siemen - cant remember the model but it was slim and as long as my palm.

Got my first mobile right before my SPM . was after months of hinting & beggin. hahaha - compare it now - it was practically a brick back then..lol

1998/99 - Ericsson PH 768 -BLUE

The array of colours to choose from and it was a flip phone although the flip was useless..hahaha.it was small and hip.I still like the phone.

1999/2000 - Nokia 3210 - BLUE

The first Nokia phone with erm..interchangeable colour housing. COOL. Got to have it. And so i got it. and yes..it was BLUE again. What can i say..i love BLUE

2000/2001 - Nokia 8210 - RED & WHITE

The in-thing at the point was small phones. A smaller version of Nokia 3210. Got red coz it looks HOT! - Dad was worried that i might loose it or drop it coz it was sooo small. And yes the fact that it has changeable covers was a big attraction. Any colours or patterns to suit my mood ^_^ - fav housing was my M&Ms housing cover. Blue background. ^_^

2001/2002 - Nokia 8310 - White Limited Edition(couldnt find a pic of it in the white limited edition)

Sis got me this phone from UK. So totally love it. It was the phone with White-LCD background light and so with the housing being White - it was gorgeous. And it has the FM Radio and headset - totallly wicked!

2002 until present- Sony Ericsson T68i 

And yes another phone from UK - First phone with Cam - although it was a separate unit. And it has Bluetooth and plus it has COLOURS. Love the functions.And yes chose the Blue one ^_^ . And up till now , i am still using this mobile.

at one point - i was using both my Nokia 8310 & T68i - for work purpose as well. was a principal back then. ^_^

2004 until present - Samsung SGH-600C - Silver

When i started my current job, i though i needed a extra line for work related calls and a post paid line as i was using pre-paid. At this point, after several non-flip phone , been wanting a flip phone and Samsungs looks the nicest. And at that point the craze was polyphonic ringtone. ahahaha if ya guys call me often , you’ll know my other obsessions with ringtones. Annnddd..it has got a CAMERA!!! Whats a mobile without Cam ???

slim - slide phone. Rotating Camera. Mp3.Bluetooth.Dual Speakers.it goes on. And its in Black. A easy colour to match with any of my outfits! hahaha yes Mobile is an accessory ^_^

Also another slide phone. not as slim as SGH-D820. But in terms of function definately compareable. Outlook, erm after seeing the actually SGH-D820 - i would say SGH-D600 is prettier. Its shinier & glossier. What can i say…i have a soft spots of shiny things! hahaha

Which would you choose ?

well not only am i a mobile phone-craze person - i just love new modern gadgets. I was at one point nuts about getting a digital camera. and i finally got it. ^_^ to fufilled all my needs to snap photos wherever i go! hahaa - My Pentax Optio S6. I carry it with me everywhere i go.=)

i would loveee to have a Nano iPod. a new desktop pc or a laptop would be jolly - good. I also intent to get a new DVD Hi-fi set - got my eyes set on either Samsung or Phillips . And yup my telly needs to change as well.should i get a flat screen ? or swap my 29" with a smaller telly or a bigger telly ?

Gosh at the rate i’m going, i might as well end up being married to a Electrical Appliances Store - erm…Seng Heng ???     Sen-Q ???? hahaha well i think the man that owns these stores would be a better choice - or i could just get a job there! hahahaa

i know i know..i have no idea why i fancy stuffs like these. i just do.and yeah yeah i know you guys are prolly gonna say that i am soooo materialistic.

but hey what can i say..i am but but a a materialll  materialistic girl. ^ @_@^
